Link information:
Important Skywarn/Canwarn information!!
The link to Starbuck and the rest of the MRS repeater system is not available at this time!!
Use the VE4MAN or VE4VJ repeaters to report weather data to PASPC, otherwise use the
1-800-number. We are working to correct the link problem. Sorry for the inconvince!
VE4CDN is usually linked to the MRS Uhf backbone. That means
the repeater will be connected to VE4MAN, VE4NEP, VE4WPG, VE4MIL
and VE4FAL when all the links are working properly.
If the link is down, you can access remote repeaters using the
*500 DTMF sequence. If the link is up, busy, and you would
like to make a local contact; press *505 AFTER asking for
a "break". To bring the repeater to normal (linked), press
*500.
From elswhere in the system use #47 as the preaccess for the CDN controller.
Use the same codes for up and down;
link on - #47 500
Link off - #47 505
Note: These codes access the Morris repeater controller.
If you wish to remotely control other repeaters on the system
see the MRS web site, or refer to your MRS repeater guide
mailed out with your membership.

Operational update:
May 2008
VHF repeater operation nominal, no reported outages or malfunctions for many months.
UHF link remains unavailable. Waiting for updates to the UHF link equipment at Starbuck.
Suggested completion date is somewhere between April and June 2010. Updates to link the
VE4CDN repeater to the VE4TOM repeater in Winkler are also planned. Schedule for these
updates are similar to the above upgrade to the Starbuck link. New hardware (antenna and
some feedline) may be required for the link to Winkler.
Spring Flooding 2009:
This repeater may be utilized for ARES logistics and possible traffic during the
flood event this spring. Please give priority to any flood related traffic.
